A brush fire is burning in Union and Level 3 evacuations have been ordered for those on the following streets:
E 2nd St
E 3rd St
E 4th St
E Main St
E Fir St
E Galliano Dr
E Carney Dr
W Great Bend Dr
Alder St from Garnet Ct to end
Garnet Ct
Those ordered to evacuate have been relocated to Alderbrook Club House, New Community Church of Union or Mason Fire District 6’s Station.
All other streets in the near vicinity are on Level 2 and should get ready to evacuate.

The fire, called the Union Bank Fire, started on Highway 106 at McReavy Road and is burning up the hill. Exact size of the fire is not yet known but it is estimated at 3 acres.
Crews from Mason County Fire Districts 6, 1, 4, 11 & 18, North Mason Regional Fire Authority, Central Mason Fire & EMS, West Mason Fire, and DNR are working on structure protection and fire containment. Additional crews are enroute from Kitsap and Thurston counties. Mason County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol are also assisting. State Route 106 is closed between milepost 4 and milepost 5.
