Update on Mason County Road Closures

Mason County Public Works will be closing several roads in August and September. These closures are necessary to allow crews to replace culverts and a bridge, and complete paving work. Here is an updated schedule of work as another project has been added while the Satsop Cloquallum Road – Cross Culvert Replacement has been postponed for a year.

**Please note that all projects are weather dependent so dates may change. **

ADDED: Beeville Loop Road – MP 5.19

Beeville Loop Road at the Dry Bed Creek Culvert (MP 5.19) will be closed to all through traffic due to a failing culvert pipe. The culvert removal is scheduled to be done on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 4:00pm. The road will remain closed until further notice. (See detour map below)

Cloquallum Road – Road Creek Bridge at MP 5.85
Cloquallum Road shall be closed to all traffic at approximately MP 5.85 to replace the Rock Creek Bridge.
Closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00am Monday, August 7, 2023, until 4:00pm Friday, August 11, 2023.
The detour around the project will start at Highland Road and Shelton Valley Road. (See detour map below)

Satsop Cloquallum Road – Cross Culvert Replacement at MP 5.20 – cancelled. This project will be re-scheduled for next summer.

Satsop Cloquallum Road shall be closed to all traffic at approximately MP 5.20 to replace a culvert.
Closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00am Monday, August 21, 2023, until 4:00pm Friday, August 25, 2023.
The detour around the project will start at Highland Road and Shelton Valley Road. (See detour map below)

Homestead Drive – MP 0.00 to 0.22 Paving Project
The road will be closed during working hours only beginning at 7:30am to 4:00pm on Monday, September 4, 2023 and Tuesday, September 5, 2023. (See map below)

Lakeland Drive – MP 0.00 to 0.45 Paving Project
The road will be closed during working hours only beginning at 7:30am to 4:00pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 through Friday, September 8, 2023. (See map below)

North Shore Road – Little Shoefly Culvert Replacement at MP 8.18
North Shore Road shall be closed to all traffic at approximately MP 8.18 to replace a culvert.
Closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00am Monday, September 25, 2023, until 4:00pm Friday, September 29, 2023. Belfair Tahuya Road will be used as the detour route. (See detour map below)
